Sound familiar?

You know the definition.
Then the question changes.

“Negative reinforcement is… punishment? Wait. No. Shit.”

We’ve been there. Squirrel turns learning and conditioning into a story, then helps you spot the concept when the story changes. Listen, connect the dots, and try it yourself.

Inside the course

One apartment.
Seven lightbulb moments.

Start with the roommates. Leave knowing how to tell the concepts apart.

01

Your roommates are the experiment

Classical, operant & observational learning

5 min
Meet Maya, Jordan, and Eli. Their apartment makes the difference between classical, operant, and observational learning click.
02

A sound that suddenly means something

Stimuli, responses & classical conditioning

9 min
Learn to identify neutral, unconditioned, and conditioned stimuli and responses in unfamiliar examples.
03

It stopped. So why is it back?

Extinction, recovery & generalization

7 min
Tell extinction, spontaneous recovery, stimulus generalization, and discrimination apart.
04

Reward, punishment, or neither?

The four consequences, finally untangled

10 min
Use two questions—what was added or removed, and did behavior increase or decrease—to untangle the four consequences.
05

Same reward. Different rules.

Reinforcement schedules without the confusion

9 min
Separate fixed from variable and ratio from interval, with concrete reward systems you can follow.
06

You learned that by watching?

Models & observational learning

6 min
Understand modeling and how watching someone else’s consequences can shape learning.
07

New story. You know the answer.

Mixed scenarios & exam-style practice

8 min
Bring the concepts together in mixed scenarios. Explain your reasoning instead of recognizing a memorized example.
A little proof of understanding

Your brain gets
a speaking part.

This isn’t just something to have on in the background. Pause-and-answer moments make you retrieve the idea before the narrator gives it away.

Then use the study sheet and 20 practice questions to see what stuck—and what needs another listen.

80%

A useful practice goal.
Not a promise about your exam grade.

Your turn

Okay, but did it stick?

Jordan washes the dishes more often after earning the right to pick the show. What kind of learning is this?

Less rereading. More “ohhh.”

Give your next
study session a story.

Put on your headphones. Meet the roommates. Make learning and conditioning make sense.

A few good questions.

What exactly does the course cover?

Learning and conditioning: classical conditioning and its components; extinction, recovery, generalization, and discrimination; operant conditioning and the four consequences; reinforcement schedules; and observational learning. See the seven-episode outline above.

Is this for my Psychology 101 class?

It is designed around common introductory psychology concepts. Compare the topic list with your instructor’s syllabus. It is a focused review of learning and conditioning, not a complete psychology degree or full-semester course.

Will this guarantee a particular exam score?

No. You’ll practice identifying and explaining concepts in new scenarios, but your exam result depends on your syllabus, starting knowledge, practice, and the assessment. An 80% practice target is a study goal, not a grade guarantee.

How do I listen after buying?

After payment, you’ll return to your course library in this browser. Your access is saved with a secure cookie. Use the same browser to return through “My course,” and keep your payment receipt.

Is it a subscription?

No. The course is a single $5 USD purchase. Any applicable taxes and coupon discounts are shown at checkout before you pay.

Can I listen to a sample first?

Yes. The player at the top has a 45-second excerpt from Episode 1. It uses the same voices and tone as the course. It contains strong language.
